Our Orchard and Garden

I have lived in the Kingdom of Fife for nearly five years now. We are close to the Tay in a sheltered glen with a South facing aspect.  Myself and my significant other are lucky to have become the owners of an orchard and garden that we in the process of  developing further to produce more fruit, vegetables and herbs.

Our orchard has about 50 fruit trees in it.  Plums, apples, damson, greengage, and cherry. There are three rhubarb patches of varying sizes, along with black currant, red currants and gooseberry bushes. Then there are raspberries and strawberries too ….. did I mention the brambles and the elderberries growing wild. The greenhouse has a grape vine.  Expansion of our collection is underway. I want to use this blog to encourage our progress.

We also grow tomatoes, cucumbers, herbs and salad in the greenhouse.  Some more successfully than others.
